East London house – Crittall House of the Year Runner Up 2022

Our clients in East London fell in love with the super slim profiles on Crittall doors, that provided the perfect solution for their new house extension with a brave design that brought so much of outside into their home.

The owners insisted on having a design that embodied symmetry and commissioned a wall of glazing made out of  22 identical squares. Further flexibility was required by the project with two sets of double doors in the middle, giving the design robustness and sense of freedom throughout the year. The plan to achieve a wide opening of three meters in the center was perfectly achieved when all four doors are open but additional options with a variety of opening combinations are available. Bespoke hardware was chosen to add an accent that matches the kitchen ironmongery and complements the London yellow stock brickwork on the exterior.
