Arched Crittall and Virtually Frameless Roof-light in Balham

This remodelling in Balham draws inspiration from the luxury boutique hotel scene, particularly a Provence art hotel where a stunning wall of arched window frames seamlessly connected the restaurant to the French countryside.

In this Balham homeCrittall steel arches define the main social living area, echoing the elegant curves throughout the space, such as the arched built-in shelving flanking the stone fireplace and the unique arched brick entryway. Another standout feature is the virtually frameless rooflight that wraps around the dining area, creating a subtle separation while maintaining an open and airy feel throughout the room.

We received several nominations and awards for this project, including being shortlisted for the prestigious Build It Awards 2024 and a special prize for the Crittall House of the Year awards. These accolades reflect the unique design and thoughtful craftsmanship that transformed this property,  blending modern elegance with timeless features.
